The TCTF-NTU Advanced Leadership Development Workshop

Mr Fang Xinwen, Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister Counsellor, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore giving his speech at the TCTF-NTU Advanced Leadership Development Workshop opening ceremony. The TCTF-NTU Advanced Leadership Development Workshop – "One Belt, One Road" and International Talents Nurturing Opening Ceremony was held in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, on 14 March 2016. It strives to provide more opportunities for talent nurturing in support of China's initiatives in "One Belt, One Road"; and building a global education hub. The forum was organized by Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) at NTU, with collaboration from University of Malaya, and Xiamen University Malaysia Campus, from 13 – 20 March 2017 in Singapore and Malaysia. Sponsored by Tan Chin Tuan Foundation, the forum creates a platform for academic leaders and senior administrators from the three countries to have candid, cordial, and in-depth exchanges and discussions on major trends in higher education and research, such as talent nurturing, and creative thinking in education setting. This year, 11 outstanding applicants from the Chinese government and corporate sectors received the scholarship.
Professor Er Meng Hwa, NTU Vice President (International Affairs), Ms Yap Su-Yin, CEO of Tan Chin Tuan Foundation, and Mr Fang Xinwen, Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore are among the distinguished guests who attended the opening ceremony.
