Nanyang Centre for Public Administration, School of Social Sciences and the School of Humanities has the pleasure to host the 2017 Summer School of the East Asian University Institute (EAUI) programme. The theme of the 2017 Summer School is "Asian Regional Community Building through Transnational Knowledge Exchange".
The Campus Asia-EAUI Programme was originally launched by Waseda University in December 2011, in collaboration with Korea University, NTU, Peking University, and Thammasat University. The 5 participant schools will take turns hosting the programme each year. It is a unique programme, which brings together Asian universities to act as a cultural and scientific bridge between countries.
This year the programme saw 38 students from the 5 universities, attending lectures by scholars and symposium presentations by renowned speakers. On the third day of the programme, participants were shown the heritage of the 3 main ethnicity groups (Chinese, Malays and Indians) in Singapore via a day trip to China Town, Little India and Haji Lane.
The programme ended on a high-note as participants were seen taking photos together and contact details were exchanged at the closing dinner, on the fifth day, at NTU.
